More fireworks as Telecom-IT Group and IDD kick off the new year together

IDD Projects, IPTV pioneer in the Belgian healthcare sector, and Telecom-IT Group, headed by Filip Gelaude and Tom Messiaen, are joining forces. At a stroke, they jointly form the country's largest and most reliable partner in communication platforms for the healthcare sector. The IDD Projects offering (screens, signage and IPTV) will be distributed through division 25-8 (Twenty-Five Eight) in Flanders, Wallonia and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. IDD itself will continue to help its existing customers and to approach its own prospects.

Content and skills

Petra Dewaele, the lynchpin at IDD Projects, is delighted that we will form a single team from now on. “The Telecom-IT Group vision fits perfectly with our own. We are trying to deepen our products and want to reach a wider market, without becoming diluted in the bigger picture.” This basis is also crucially important for Filip Gelaude, CEO of Telecom-IT Group. “Communicating effectively in a mission-critical environment requires many skills at once. Screens are seriously underused for that purpose right now. In addition, care organisations need an ever-wider range of communication tools. Combining our strengths with those of IDD Projects, we can cater to those needs.”

Smooth integration

“We are counting on a smooth start to our collaboration”, adds Tom Messiaen, managing partner in 25-8. “We are familiar with IDD’s work and have been fans for a long time. We are therefore delighted to be able to offer it from today through our experienced team of Business Consultants. In the first instance we will target our customers with the existing IDD Projects offering. But we’ll also get together to discuss joint developments. IDD itself will continue to help its existing customers and to approach its own prospects.”

There is one advantage that cannot be ignored: this close cooperation will increase the technical team responsible for the roll-out and service fivefold (!).

Video calls as a fundamental right

LynX® hello, which enables residents to receive visits digitally via their televisions, was our first foray into the wider use of television screens by our customers. We don’t want to stop there. The potential of IPTV and signage must be much better used in a care environment. And always with a view to a better care experience for both the care provider and the person in need of care and their environment.
