AZ Zeno (Blankenberge)

In the coming years AZ Zeno is renovating the right wing of its campus in Blankenberge. One of the units that will be housed in this wing is a brand-new face clinic which will cover ophthalmology, stomatology, ear-nose-throat and plastic surgery. "Our campus in Blankenberge will receive the same style as the campus in Knokke-Heist."

Bart Dewaele, Director Care AZ Zeno: "Within the broad framework of the renovation we are already renewing our day clinic, formerly the intensive care department, in accordance with the vision that we used for the Knokke campus as well. With lots of light and white, therefore, supplemented by nursing support technology - such as the smart lighting technology of LynX® lifeline, which I find brilliant. For nurses and doctors it is clear at a glance where they need to be in case of problems."

In addition, the lighting functions as emergency lighting, and during evacuation or in case of a required resuscitation it can point the way to the emergency exit or the patient involved. For the day hospital, AZ Zeno also opted for LynX® first: a person-following call system, thus, instead of a classic room-bound solution. If the patient activates an alarm, the localisation technology of LynX® first always informs the care units precisely where the call is coming from, regardless of where the patient is located at that moment.

"The day hospital offers a chance to put our integrated solution through a trial run in a smaller-scale setting, after which we can hopefully further roll it out once the hospital is fully renovated", concludes Dante Meulemeester, Senior Business Consultant at 25-8.

AZ Zeno is renovating the entire right wing of its campus in Blankenberge. In so doing they are open for technological support and innovation whenever this helps support the nursing care. And above all the safety of the patients.

    En RÉsumÉ :

    • LynX® first person-following call system
    • LynX® first nursing call buttons with built-in Mifare technology
    • LynX® lifeline LED lighting with visualisation of care alarms and emergency lighting
    • LynX® connect telephony and alerting on point mobile

I think that 25-8 contributes perfectly to what we as a hospital wish to stand for: using technological innovation to increase the comfort of caregivers and patients.

Bart Dewaele, Director Care AZ Zeno

The smart button of LynX® first offers built-in MIFARE technology, with which the hospital can uniformly organise the badging.
