VZW Orange

Oranje is working to build an open and responsive society where everyone finds their full-fledged place. Oranje addresses itself to all persons with a (suspected) limitation and other socially vulnerable target groups, regardless of age or nature of the limitation. Their great challenge is to allow themselves to be supported by technology that, on the one hand, is user-friendly for their personnel, while on the other also offers added value for their clients.

Oranje VZW first made contact with 25-8 back in 2015 when seeking a telephone exchange for their headquarters in Damme. One noted immediately that 25-8 offers an innovative total concept relating to communication in care institutions. For example, the LynX® server is not only used as a telephony platform but also as a multifunctional alarm server. Oranje VZW saw great potential in this design and concluded a framework agreement for 5 projects with a wide range of applications.

"Our various satellite sites can be linked to this LynX® server via the innovative LynX® home concept" explains Bert Putman, General Manager of Oranje. "Whereby inhabitants living independently in the area around Bruges can call on the staff in a local ADL office or of the mobile team of Oranje." This can be done via individual resources in flats and studio apartments that are linked on several central servers. The staff then works with one and the same application on a smartphone.

25-8 helps come up with customised solutions for the various target groups: some things are specially developed by Unmatched, the R&D partner of 25-8. Other, existing products are also successfully linked to the central LynX® platform thanks to their open source protocols.
